Main Functions
Mindful Ping
Mindful Ping is a way to help you stay aware of yourself and your state during the day.
It creates a notification every hour and asks you how you feel. In a stressful life, it’s a way to ground yourself and stay mindful throughout your day.
If an hour isn’t the right interval for you, you can change this.
Sonic Relaxation
Some people experience a positive effect by listening to certain frequencies or sounds. For example, many people with ADHD feel relief when listening to white noise. The app provides some of the more popular frequencies, sounds, and noises. Try them and see which ones work for you.
Breathwork
The app has a number of popular breathwork exercises to help you calm down or gear up. Breathwork is an effective method to change your mental state — especially to reduce stress and anxiety. If you have a smartwatch that measures stress, you’ll often see immediate reductions when you do, for example, box breathing.
Note: Currently, the app uses Android’s built-in Text-to-Speech function to read the breathwork scripts out loud for you. This is not an optimal solution. We are working on providing recordings with much better quality.
Meditation
The app provides a selection of meditations. If you can manage to sit comfortably in a full or half lotus position, that may give you the best personal experience. Most adults cannot do this, and that’s fine. Just sit comfortably on a pillow with crossed legs, or in a chair. The aim is to relax deeply without needing to control your body. You can also lie down — if that works for you. Some meditations even require it.

Settings
You can access the app’s settings by first pressing the hamburger icon in the toolbar, and then the gear icon at the bottom of the drawer that appears.
Keep screen on during playback If enabled, the screen will remain on during playback of breathwork and meditation sessions. This will consume more battery but may feel more natural.
Honor Do Not Disturb If enabled, the app will not send any notifications when your device is in Do Not Disturb mode.
Mindful Ping notification timeout How long the notification sent by the Mindful Ping feature remains visible in the phone’s notification list.
Frequencies default playback time The duration of frequency playback.
Noises default playback time The duration of noise playback.
App volume The volume of app playback, relative to the phone’s volume.
TTS Speech rate How fast the Text-to-Speech engine in Android will speak. By default, it speaks slowly, because this feels calmer and better for breathwork and meditations.
TTS Pitch The pitch of the Text-to-Speech voice.
Playback inter-segment delay This is the pause between certain segments in the various breathwork and meditation scripts.
